Introduction to Microgravity Simulator
Lim Jeong-Ku

Abstract
Conducting scientific research in a state of nongravitation is very difficult to do. One of best way for such experiments is task execution in space precluding the possibility of actual performance. The clinostat, designed in 1882 can simulate microgravity conditions rotating one or two axes with motors. On the basis of the classic clinostat, a Random Positioning Machine (RPM) was developed by D. Mesland in 1997. Although RPM has some limitations to analyze the results while simulating microgravity and few machines in Korea, it is a valuable tool to explore physiologic changes in space and proper understanding on RPM is needed for further study.
